Curio's ice cream-shaped bag collection features eight models named after ice cream flavours: from Cherry Bordeaux to Stracciatella to Lemon Pistachio.

Curio: concept & development

Having analyzed the challenges of leather goods brands, Curio began with a simple idea: to blend the indulgence of a sweet treat with high fashion. Inspired by the symbolic and sign language of the vegan food industry, for Curio I adapted these elements to create a 100% plant-based luxury product.

My design process is driven by a passion for detail, ensuring that every item embodies the perfect balance of artistry and functionality. Curio offers more than just accessories; it seeks to provide a unique experience of wearable art.

To provide a unique customer experience I developed a packaging bag reflective of the brand colors. Each Curio bag is wrapped in a dark green box, hinting at the luxury within. Inside, the bag is nestled in a soft pouch for added protection and style.

Curio: a plant-based leather goods brand

PRODUCT DESIGN - BRANDING

With the challenges of high-end leather goods brands in mind such as consumer expectations of exclusivity, innovation and sustainability, I developed Curio a high-end plant-based leather goods brand specializing in unique, artistic bags and wallets.. In an exploration of materiality and semantics, I developed a brand identity based on the shape, symbolic and semantic of the luxury dessert industry, naturally everything is plant-based. Focusing on sophisticated, indulgent eatable treats, the Curio bag range plays with the user`s and viewer`s perception of delicious desserts.

The Curio marketing campaign: promoting a delicious bag

Inspired by the rich swirls of caramel and hazelnut: I developed marketing materials to promote the range which features the Caramel Nocciola bag. The marketing concept focuses on capturing the range`s unique spirit through visually captivating posters and engaging content inspired by luxury desserts.

The bags' companion: the Curio wallet

PRODUCT DESIGN - BRANDING

To accompany the bag range, I developed a wallet collection. Crafted to resemble rich chocolate bars, the wallets come in three styles: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate.

The design process of Curio’s wallet began with a deep dive into the luxurious world of chocolate. The wallets should evoke the same indulgence and sophistication of the Curio brand whilst resembling the form of chocolate bars. The result is a collection of three flavours: milk, white and dark chocolate.

The marketing campaign for Curio wallet

Taking the sign-language of luxury chocolate, the marketing campaign showcases the dark chocolate Curio model elegantly poised on a platform embossed with the brands` signature logo. The backdrop's earthy tones enhance the wallet's deep, rich color, highlighting its intricate detailing.

The Curio wallet: packaging & POS design

For the wallet I developed an elegant rectangular packaging box. The wallet is nestled within a deep green, textured box, adorned with the elegant Curio logo embossed in gold. This premium packaging not only protects the wallet, it enhances its visual appeal. In-store, Curio's chocolate shaped wallets are presented with the same attention to detail. Mimicking a Confectionery like setting, each wallet is showcased to capture the customer’s attention.
